This is a brief description of TitleView Services
You may connect to the Registry’s computer system from your office or home either by dialing through a phone line and computer modem or by connecting to the internet. Please read the instructions at the First time user button on the previous page to learn how to do this or call 508-830-9283 for help; especially if you will be using a direct dial modem with HyperTerminal or some other similar dialing software (you will not be able to view using HyperTerminal).
If you are not a TitleView Member subscriber (see below) you will see the same indexes that are available at the three offices of Plymouth County Registry of Deeds. However you will not be able to print them on your own computer.
For TitleView Members there is a fee of $30 that will be billed to your account each month. This charge entitles you to unlimited viewing and printing of images for $1 per page

To access the imaging capabilities, search the indexes as usual and when you have located a reference press V to view the image or images associated with this reference. The V option will not be available if the Registry does not have images for this reference. We are adding images on a daily basis to our computers and so the range of available images will be constantly increasing.
After you have pressed V to view the images, you must pick up your computer’s mouse (which is not needed to use the indexes) and click the link that will appear at the bottom of the index screen. You will then see the image(s) in your browser window. These images will be in thumbnail format and are protected with a watermark. They are not intended to be fully readable; they are there to show you how many pages are associated with this reference and to allow you to identify those that you wish to read and/or download. This is particularly useful in the case of mortgages which have many pages.
To read (view) a page, click on that image. Depending on how your monitor and computer are configured you may need to use the scroll bars to see the whole page.
If you are a Member and have decided that you wish to purchase (save) the image(s) to your computer, either for future use or to print out, select the pages that you wish to download/print. By default all the pages are not selected but you may use the Select All button and then un-check the pages that you do not want to purchase (e.g. middle pages of a 17 page mortgage).
When you have selected the images that you require, click Purchase selected images. You will get a confirmatory box that shows you how many pages you are purchasing. Click OK. Click Save and a File Download dialogue box will appear. You will then be able to specify the location and the name of the file that you are about to download (all the selected images will be saved in one file). Pc users will be familiar with the download dialog box that appears whenever files are saved to their computer. We recommend that you make a special directory for your Plymouth images, and be sure to change “File Type” from html to “All Files”. Click Save.
Once the image(s) have been saved to your computer you will be in complete control of how this file is displayed and printed. The file will be a tiff type which is a very common type of image file. You may need to set file associations on your computer to determine which program your computer will use to display tiff images. When printing these images you may also need to adjust you printer properties to ensure that the whole image fits on to the paper in your printer. You may call 508-830-9287 for help if you have difficulty with these issues; however please be aware that every PC and printer will be configured differently and you will need to become familiar with the software and configuration of you computer and printer.
When you have completed viewing and/or saving the images for the selected reference, you should close the browser window. You will be returned to the Registry indexes to continue with another reference or to logoff from the Registry’s computer system. Please remember to log off.
