After you have completed the Declaration of Homestead form, and have your signature NOTARIZED, you must file the document with the Registry of Deeds. You may present the document in person at one of our three locations or you may mail the document along with a check made out to Plymouth County Registry of Deeds for $35 plus $2 postage & handling fee to:

Your document will be recorded as received and returned to you in a timely fashion. Please note, if your property is registered in Land Court, your declaration will not be returned.
